The Retirement Plan 2023

Ashley’s estranged father is Matt, an alcoholic beach bum with a very obscure past. Ashley ends up in the Cayman Islands the next day, but as a hostage. She is captured by thugs who work for Donnie, a crime boss who desperately wants the car back. Sarah eventually ends up in the care of Bobo, a deceptively empathetic mob enforcer who befriends the young girl about Othello, morality and Bobo’s childhood. It’s an unexpected but welcome page-turner from writer/director Tim Brown, who also makes effective use of Ron Perlman’s softer side.
