Director Jonathan Salami’s take on The Last Deal is perhaps the film’s strongest, most interesting element, with fast editing through its performances, yet perfectly portrays a unique era of American history, where Once an illegal substance becomes legal, the black market. Reversed. It sets the tone perfectly for the main characters and launches us straight into the conflict. As the story progresses, Vincent is thrust into a Breaking Bad-style situation, where he is forced to confront villainous characters, including “The Boss”, who lends money to Vincent and Bobby and, who mischievously enforces the rules.
