Tetris 2023

Although the film is based on a true story, there are certain points where you know it’s completely fictional. There’s an airport chase that didn’t actually happen, and other events are exaggerated to create more suspense. Tetris is surprisingly good as a Cold War thriller. It’s an interesting and compelling story that sheds light on one of the strangest moments in video game history, although some of it is made up. First, that the Tetris game is still a blast, and second, that the Tetris movie won me over. While some of the larger connections it tries to make don’t work, “Tetris” is quite entertaining in its spy thriller segments.
