Constellation sees Jo return to Earth after a failed space flight only to find that her life is not the same as it was before she left. As she tries to adjust to this new reality, her past affects everything in front of her, including her relationship with her daughter. The series starts overlapping in two episodes, with Joe as their main focus. First we see him controlling the release of a spaceship with something exploding on board which leaves him and his crew facing sunk life and death situations due to which Joe is currently struggling to adjust to in everyday life.
