The eagerly anticipated prequel to 2019’s Pet Sematary forays into the world of horror with the finesse of a bulldozer and the subtlety of a sledgehammer. The movie, for which Lindsey Anderson Beer made her directorial debut and co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Buhler, seems to miss the point of a horror narrative.
