Nick Cassavetes’ latest film, God is a Bullet, is based on the novel of the same name by mystery writer Boston Tern. When a Satanic cult murders his ex-wife and kidnaps her teenage daughter, small-town detective Bob Hightower, more house cat than rookie lawman, is paired with Satanic cult fugitive Case Hardin. Together they must find him and have his back. Along the way they get a lot of tattoos, kill a few people, and encounter the cruel emptiness of humanity.
