The CIA is back, this time in the person of contact Marsh. The highly explosive order is for Barney, his friend Lee Christmas and the rest of the combat unit to kill the terrorist Rahmat. He was aiming for several nuclear detonators in a former Muammar al-Gaddafi weapons factory in Libya. Ross once came close to uncovering the identity of the ghostly puppet master Ocelot, who wants to use these to ignite a third world war. The plot serves as merely a lure to draw the mercenary crew into the most intense conflicts possible, as is always the case in the series.
