Blue Beetle 2023

Blue Beetle is beautifully directed by Angel Manuel Soto, who knows the importance of keeping things fun and exciting. It’s a very different kind of movie than Zack Snyder’s efforts with Superman and Batman and eventually Justice League, movies that would go on to define the DC Cinematic Universe for many years in depressing and violent ways. Very light and breezy, this movie is a one-of-a-kind family superhero movie, both literally and figuratively. Jaime’s family aren’t just background characters here, they actually participate in the action and actually help Jaime on his quest.
